HOW MUCH SHOULD IT COST FOR A YOUTH TO PLAY GOLF?

I’ve spent money heavily to try motivating my son and my daughter to play golf. I took my son to a junior golf camp a few years ago and bought a “Hello Kitty” club set for my daughter, who loved it but never used even once.
These got me thinking that how it actually costs for a youth to be into the game. It’s not much expensive to start playing golf; but when you dive into the game, it will be another story to think about. Long time ago, the best way to get a youngster into golf was to become a caddie (person who supportively carries the equipment for someone else playing golf), but the golf carts have done that job very well.

Purchasing that first set of clubs

A club set for youngsters is not expensive at all; a quick search via Google can bring up a thousand options with the price ranging from $249 to only $72, which is much more economical when compared with a basketball gloves and bats.
U.S. Kids also provides club sets for children in all ages and sizes. Interestingly enough that parents can trade the old clubs for a bigger one when the kids grow up. For newbie, it also offers a new Yard Club, which promotes proper hand positioning and has an oversized head providing more hitting area to the ball.
A decent adult golf set can cost double, around minimum $500 (bag, which is probably priced $100, not included). That means it can cost nearly $700 for an adult to begin playing golf, unless you can assemble used stuff on many online websites to make yourself a complete golf set.
After choosing a proper set, you should move on to selecting accessories. A pair of gloves, a couple dozen balls and a towel will cost $20, $45 and $15 respectively. Besides, inclement weather can badly destroy your shoes, so investing for shoes will not be a waste. The shoes’ prices are fluctuating, depending on the brand: $35 for FootJoy shoes, $40 for adidas, and $45 for Puma, etc.

Instruction cost

Golf Academy

Get Golf Ready (a program launched by the Professional Golfers' Association of America) offers a five-academic-lesson package for $99, which is a perfect option for adult beginners. Through each lesson, you will have the basic foundation about golf spot: grip, warm-up, swing, etc. However, the package is not designed forkids.

Purchasing Golf Rangefinder

Best Golf rangefinder will be the important devices which golf beginner should have. It will benefit users by doing multiple task such as calculate distance, finding slope.

Individual Lessons

Youngsters better try individual lessons also provided by U.S. Kids Golf , which has a search engine to help children find a matched coach. But an afterschool youth clinic or summer day camps can be better. Children can learn by watching others of their same age playing.
Another good choice is to find a TGA Premier program in local schools. TGA has now granted their franchise to 62 markets across the USA serving more than 3.300 schools and guiding more than 650.000 youth to the game

Tee time cost

Tee time costs arethe amount of money you have to pay first to play on a golf course, this amount is supposed to be greatly various depending mostly on the time and the day you play. “Youth on Course” is a social association which provides many extra benefits for young players. Anyone purchasing the YOC membership will get a discount a discount on range balls, and $5 green fees per weekday for the short course and the big course in the afternoon. The program has enlarged to 14 states of the USA, for approximately 20.000 kids at the age of 12 on average. If you can’t find a YOC course near your living area, the next option is to practice at a local facility.

Golf Is Not Only For Men

The opinion that golf is only for men is no longer true when the non-professional golf tournaments for women was first held in the UK in 1895. From then, the number of female golfers has increased significantly with excellent shots that many male golfers could feel surprised and envy.
According to Asian Golf Association’s report, female golfers account for 45% of the total golfers in the South Korea, 25% in Japan and 10% in Vietnam. These figures are predicted to go up in the recent years. Many people think that even the number of female golfers has become bigger, but it is not good in quality. To put it in another word, female golfers are just considered decorations for golf matches with little ability of playing golf. If these people have such thought, they will find they are wrong totally if they have chances to observe strong, nice and really eye- catching swings hit by female golf players. Take Michelle Wie a typical example, she is too familiar with golf fans because of her skil…
